Jeddah Tower and Mount Everest comparison is just a fantasy to think for many with respect to their heights . It is the comparison of world’s tallest building and world’s tallest mountain. This is just a hypothetical comparison arising out of the fantasy of people looking to explore things in a different way.
Jeddah Tower(Kingdom Tower)
Jeddah Tower previously known as Kingdom Tower is a future tallest building in the world. It is expected to complete in 2020. Located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, it is expected to be the first tallest building to reach the 1-kilometer high mark. The main reason behind the development is to drive tourist attraction in the city of Jeddah.
Initially it was planned to be 1.6 km high but the geological restrictions forced it to 1 km high limit. Latest reports claim the skyscraper has reached 63 floors(As reported on 7th Feb 2018). The architect involved is Adrian Smith. Of course, the same Architect who designed Burj Khalifa(Current Tallest Building in the World).
Mount Everest is also known as Sagarmatha in Nepal. It is located in the subrange of Himalayas is the highest mountain in the world above sea level. The official elevation(Measured Height) of Mount Everest is 8,848 m (29,029 ft). Mount Everest has always been the attraction of mountain climbers. Every year the height of the mountain grows continuously by 4 mm.
Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay climbed the mountain and became the first successful summiteers of Mount Everest. However, mountaineers are attracted to Everest without any downfall in the numbers. Everest costs thousands of dollars to climb. However, there is no reduction in the number of people climbing the mountain.
Mount Everest vs Jeddah Tower(Kingdom Tower)
Mount Everest is 8,848 m (29,029 ft) tall while the Jeddah Tower is expected to be 1,000 m (3,281 ft). It is almost 9 times the size of Jeddah Tower. One is a natural beauty while the other is an Architectural man-made beauty. The comparison symbolizes the strength and beauty of both this wonders of the world. It is the comparison of world’s tallest building with the world’s tallest mountain.
The Jeddah Tower will hold the record to become the first building in the world to cross the 1 km high mark. A record never achieved before by any skyscraper. We often see mountains stretching to km’s in height. However, we will see a man-made structure rising to this height. Even so, for the first time in the history of Mankind.
